Pooja R. Chopra, MD

Services

Medical-Legal Services

Dr. Chopra provides physician-led evaluations and consultation involving pain, musculoskeletal injury, rehabilitation, and future medical needs. The scope of each engagement is defined by the questions presented, available information, and her areas of expertise.

A life care plan identifies an individual’s anticipated medical and rehabilitation needs following a serious injury or ongoing condition. Dr. Chopra brings her background in PM&R and Pain Medicine to the assessment of long-term function, treatment needs, and associated costs.

Depending on the case, a plan may address physician visits, diagnostic testing, medications, procedures, rehabilitation, equipment, and assistance with daily activities. Recommendations are individualized, with the medical rationale, anticipated frequency and duration, and cost sources explained. Needs outside her specialty may require input from other treating clinicians or specialists.

Services include

  • Development of life care plans
  • Focused future medical cost projections
  • Review of existing plans for medical necessity, assumptions, and supporting evidence
